Change is Simple Over the Years
Inspiring Action: Transforming Students from Bystanders to Mindful Participants in Creating a More Sustainable, Healthier World
Children are the innovators and scientists of tomorrow. Change is Simple is empowering students with the skills and values to be climate leaders, and instilling lifelong social and environmental responsibility. Since our founding in 2011, more than 40,000 students have participated in Change is Simple’s education program. In 2023, CiS reaches more than 8,000 students a year in 38 schools across 13 communities in Eastern Massachusetts.
In February 2019, we embarked on a program evaluation with Northeastern University professors through the Evaluation Institute, to measure Change is Simple’s impact. Through their first 18 months of evaluation, they discovered what makes the program so effective for students; it improves their understanding of core subjects and inspires them to be engaged in their learning.
