Meet our College student mentors
Change is Simple has three amazing spring 2025 interns! Read below about the passion behind their work.
Ellie
(Left) Ellie grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts and has always been very interested in the environment, especially the ocean. She is currently a student at Northeastern University with a major in Marine Biology and a minor in Sociology. Ellie is here at Change Is Simple for her first co-op and she cannot be more excited! She feels a great sense of connection with the environment here in New England and across the world and was always the kid you could find climbing over rocks and into tide pools to see what she could discover next. Because of this she wants more than anything to be able to share that love and passion with others, as she believes everyone deserves to feel curious about the natural world. In addition to tidepooling, Ellie does theater, sings, draws, and plays ice hockey.
Margot
(Middle) Margot grew up in Brooklyn, New York but found her love of the outdoors and the ocean through spending her summers in Connecticut on the Long Island Sound. She is currently studying Environmental and Sustainability Science at Northeastern University where she is nurturing her passion for wildlife and marine conservation. Besides being outside and on the water, she adores skiing & snowboarding, live music, traveling, board games, and watching movies. After having worked as a girls’ lacrosse coach, she is super excited to combine both her passions for environmental sustainability and working with kids at Change is Simple!
Zora
(Right) Zora grew up in Minnesota on the St. Croix River and has developed a passion for environmental justice and conservation. Currently, she is studying environmental studies and international affairs at Northeastern University, where she hopes to continue learning about fostering diplomacy to develop more sustainable global practices. She is a member of the Habitat for Humanity club and the Women's Rugby team, and in her free time, she loves running, skiing, and picnicking. In the past, Zora has worked at her hometown Ice Cream shop and with kids ages 2 to 13 at daycare and summer school programs. She is super excited to inspire future climate advocates and to be part of the Change is Simple team!
