Change is Simple has three amazing fall 2024 interns! Read below about the passion behind their work.
Adeline
(Far left) Adeline is a third-year student at Northeastern University studying Environmental and Sustainability Science with a passion in sustainability and renewable energy. She grew up on the East Coast, in Connecticut and New York, and has a passion for the outdoors whether that be hiking, swimming, or walking through parks. She adores her two cats and enjoys activities like painting, yoga, cooking new recipes, and listening to music. Adeline has worked as a youth lacrosse coach and is excited to teach climate and sustainability lessons and to work with kids.
Ella
(Second from left) Ella is a senior environmental science major at Endicott College who is passionate about research and sustainability. She grew up on the East Coast in Rye, NH where she honed in her interests in marine environments and the importance of protecting them. She started out as a camper at the Seacoast Science Center learning about marine biology and coastal habitats, where she later became an educator for campers aged elementary to middle school. Ella enjoys anything outdoors, such as going to the beach, swimming, paddle-boarding, tide pooling, and surfing!
Hana
(Second from right) Hana was raised in Danvers, Massachusetts and is going into her senior year at Endicott College in Beverly. She pursuing a degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Music and is involved in choir, acapella, voice lessons, and the select ensemble group Harmonelle! Her love for the environment was sparked from a very young age and she enjoys hiking, gardening, archery, and kayaking. Hana has worked with kids from 3 to 15 and is excited to inspire the next generation to fight climate change and appreciate nature!
Hart
(Far right) Hart was born and raised in Oakland, CA into a nature-loving family. She is currently pursuing Environmental Studies and Design at Northeastern University where she has been able to nurture her passion for ecology and environmental equity and activism through her learning. She is still adjusting to fast city life in Boston but has been enjoying getting to explore the Northeast! In her free time, she loves to do anything outside including hiking, surfing, skiing, picnicking, and sunbathing. She also loves art and design of all kinds, especially music, fashion, and architecture. She is very excited to start her professional journey with the Change is Simple team and to share her passion for the Earth with her peers and the kids!
